- Automatic Shut-off: Once the set timer finishes, the heating element turns off automatically. The fan continues to run for 30-40 seconds to cool down the unit before stopping completely.
- Food Preparation: For optimal drying, food should be cut into even, thin slices. Thinner slices generally result in shorter drying times. If drying a small amount of food, it is suggested to place it on the middle trays.
- Safety: Heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts are recommended when handling the trays during or immediately after operation due to high temperatures.
- Environmental Conditions: The dehydrator should be used in a warm, dry room. Humidity in the air and moisture content in the food can influence drying times.
- Continuous Operation: The dehydrator should not be used for more than 48 hours at a time. After 48 hours, it should be unplugged and allowed to cool for 2 hours before being used again.
Maintenance Features:
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, all parts of the equipment, including stainless steel trays, non-stick silicone sheets, and storage bottles, should be wiped with a lightly dampened cloth. Detergent can be used if needed, followed by rinsing with clean water.
- Main Unit Care: The main unit (housing, control panel, fan, heat pipes) should not be immersed in water or other liquids.
- Post-Use Cleaning: After each use, especially if liquid or residue traces are present, trays should be wiped with a paper towel. For stubborn residue, trays can be soaked in hot water and cleaned with a soft brush.
- Storage: All parts must be thoroughly dried before storing or reusing the dehydrator.
