Detail MCU
Cause An improper toner cartridge is inserted. (The main
unit detects a toner cartridge of a different
specification.)
Toner cartridge trouble.
MCU PWB trouble.
Check & Remedy Replace the toner cartridge.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Detail MCU
Cause Developing unit disconnection
MCU PWB abnormality
Check & Remedy Replace the toner cartridge.
Check installation of the developing unit.
Use SIM16 to cancel.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Detail MCU
Cause C1LUD sensor trouble.
Paper feed tray 1 lift up motor trouble.
Connection trouble of the connector and the harness
and the MCU PWB and lift up unit and paper feed
unit.
Check & Remedy Check connection of the harness and the connector
of C1LUD.
Replace the lift-up unit.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Detail MCU
Cause C2LUM does not turn ON within the specified time.
C2LUM sensor trouble.
Paper feed tray 2 lift unit trouble.
MCU PWB trouble.
Sensor harness and connector connection trouble
Check & Remedy Check the harness and the connector of C2LUD.
Replace the lift-up unit.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Detail MCU
Cause C3LUM does not turn ON within the specified time.
C3LUM sensor trouble.
Paper feed tray 3 lift unit trouble.
MCU PWB trouble.
Sensor harness and connector connection trouble
Check & Remedy Check the harness and the connector of C3LUM.
Replace the lift-up unit.
Replace the MCUPWB.
Detail MCU
Cause C4LUM does not turn ON within the specified time.

MCU PWB trouble.

Check & Remedy Check the harness and the connector of C4LUM.
Replace the lift-up unit.
Replace the MCU PWB.

Fusing unit not installed
Check & Remedy Use SIM44-14 to check the state of the thermistor.
Replace the thermistor.
Replace the MCU PWB.
Check connection of the thermistor connector and the
harness.
Check the connector in the fusing section.

Thermistor connector and harness connection trouble
Fusing section connector connection trouble
Fusing unit not installed
Check & Remedy Use SIM 5-02 to check the heater lamp blinking
operation.
When normally lighting.
Check the sub thermistor and its harness.
Check the sub thermistor input circuit on the MCU
PWB.
When not normally lighting.
Check connection of the thermistor connector and the
harness.
Check the lamp control circuit on the MCU PWB.
Cancel the trouble with SIM 14.
Detail MCU
Cause The fusing temperature exceeds the specified level.
Main thermistor trouble
MCU PWB trouble
Thermistor connector and harness connection trouble
Power unit trouble.
Check & Remedy Use SIM 5-02 to check the heater lamp blinking
operation.
When normally lighting.
Check the sub thermistor and its harness.
Check the sub thermistor input circuit on the MCU
PWB.
When not normally lighting.
Check the lamp control circuit on the MCU PWB.
Cancel the trouble with SIM 14.
