If using DTS audio, ensure you're connected via the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal to a DTS-compatible amplifier or decoder. Verify that the audio cable is correctly connected and the plugs are clean. Also, clean the disc. Note that audio output may vary depending on the disc's audio recording status.

Ensure the disc is recorded in a compatible TV system (PAL or NTSC). Note that the player cannot play back videos not recorded normally or if the recorded time is unusually short. Also, BD-RE/R discs must be recorded in BDMV/BDAV format to be playable.
