    • S
      stephanie45Aug 13, 2025

How to fix a Sharp CD-PC3500 when the CD section doesn't operate?
    • E
      eherreraAug 17, 2025

What to do if the waveform appears and then 'NO DISC' appears on my Sharp CD-PC3500?
    • A
      anaperryAug 20, 2025
If the waveform looks like Figure 44-1 and then 'NO DISC' appears on your Sharp Speaker System, the tracking servo might not be activated. Check the circuits around pins 18 and 19 on IC1, pin 23 on IC2, and CNS1A/B.

Why is my Sharp CD-PC3500 Speaker System skipping tracks or not showing TOC?
    • L
      Leslie MorrowAug 25, 2025
Track skipping or a missing Table of Contents (TOC) on your Sharp Speaker System could be due to dust or foreign material on the laser pickup lens. Clean the lens before making any adjustments.

What to do if my Sharp CD-PC3500 accepts the CD operation key, but playback does not occur?
    • Y
      ysnowAug 28, 2025
If the Sharp Speaker System accepts the CD operation key but doesn't start playback, perform a Focus-HF system check, Tracking system check, Spin system check, and PLL system check. Also, check other potential issues.

How to troubleshoot 'E-CD01' error on a Sharp Speaker System?
    • S
      Steven GoodwinSep 1, 2025
If the Sharp Speaker System displays 'E-CD01', check the power to IC2 (LC78641E), the presence of the clock signal (16.93 MHz), and the status of the RESET terminal (pin 71 on IC2). Also, verify if the pickup moved to the PICKUP-IN Switch (SW4) position.

Why does my Sharp CD-PC3500 Speaker System initialize but not play?
    • D
      Daniel WilliamsSep 4, 2025
If the Sharp Speaker System can initialize but not play, it might be unable to complete a normal jump operation or find the start of the track. Check around pin 23 on IC2.

    Ariana DunnSep 8, 2025
Why is there no sound from my Sharp CD-PC3500 Speaker System, or why does the sound have dropouts?
    • A
      Ashley GoodmanSep 8, 2025
If your Sharp Speaker System's HF waveform is normal, the time displays correctly, but there's no sound or the sound drops out, it could be due to too many error flags on a damaged disc, making error correction impossible. Pin 35 (C2F) on IC2 may be "L". Check the waveform at pin 37 (DOUT) on IC2, and try a known good disc.
