Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing any problem with your display, before 
calling for service, please review the following troubleshooting 
tips.
There is no picture or sound.
• ThepowerLEDisoff.
-  Is power supplied to this monitor?
-  Is the power cord disconnected? (See page 14.)
-  Is the main power switch off? (See page 16.)
• ThepowerLEDlightsred.
-  This monitor is in standby state. Turn on the power. (See 
page 16.)
Remote control does not work.
• Arethebatteriesinsertedwithpolarity(+,-)aligned?(See
page 15.)
• Arethebatteriesexhausted?
• Pointtheremotecontrolunittowardthemonitor’sremote
control sensor. (See page 15.)
• Isoperationwiththeremotecontrolunitdisabled?(See
page 37.)
• The remote control unit cannot be used if the remote 
control number has been changed. Change the remote 
control number to “0”. 
To change the remote control number, hold down the “ID 
set” button and the “0” button for 5 seconds or more.
The remote control unit’s buttons for operating the HDMI-
connected device do not work.
• IsHDMICECsettoONontheSettingmenu?
• Switchtoadifferentinputmode,andthentryswitchingthe
input mode back to HDMI.
Sound from left and right speakers is reversed.
Sound is heard from only one side.
• Areaudiocablesconnectedproperly?
There is a picture but no sound.
• Isthesoundmuted?
• Makesurethevolumeisnotsettominimum.
• Areaudiocablesconnectedproperly?
Unstable video.
• Thesignalmaybeincompatible.
• TrytheautomaticscreenadjustmentwhenD-SUBisinuse.
The video from the HDMI input terminal does not appear 
properly.
• DoestheHDMIcablesupport4K,andisitHDMIstandard
compliant? The monitor will not work with cables that are 
not standard compliant.
• Istheinputsignalcompatiblewiththismonitor?(Seepages
46 and 47.)
• Whenconnectingadevicethatdoesnotsupport4KVsync
50/60 Hz signals, set the HDMI Mode to Mode2.
The video from D-Sub input terminal does not appear 
correctly.
• Istheinputsignalcompatiblewiththismonitor?(Seepage
46.)
Control buttons do not work.
There is no picture.
• Loadnoisesfromoutsidemaybeinterferingwithnormal
operation. Turn off the main power and turn it on after 
waiting at least 5 seconds, and then check the operation.
The touch panel does not respond.
• IstheUSBcableconnectedproperly?
• Didyouconnectyourcomputertothevideoinputterminal
on the front when connected to TOUCH PANEL terminal 1 
on the front, or to the video input terminal on the rear when 
connected to TOUCH PANEL terminal 2 on the the rear?
• IstheTouchOn/OffbuttonsettoOff? (See page 10.)
The response of the touch panel is slow.
Some parts of the screen do not respond.
A different place is touched.
• Isthescreenexposedtodirectsunlightorotherstrong
light? The touch panel uses infrared rays and thus may not 
operate correctly.
• Isthereanobstaclebetweentheinfraredtransmitter/
receiver and the touch pen or your finger? An obstacle will 
prevent correct operation. If your fingers or a sleeve are too 
close to the screen, correct operation will not be possible.
• Istheinfraredtransmitter/receiverdirty?Gentlywipeoff
any dirt with a soft cloth.
• Ifthetouchpanelistouchedwithasmalltiplessthanabout
5/16 inch (8 mm) x 5/16 inch (8 mm), the touch may not 
be detected by infrared and correct operation will not take 
place.
• WhenstartingyourcomputerorconnectingtheUSBcable,
do not touch the touch panel. If you touch the touch panel, 
this may be detected as an element failure in the infrared 
transmitter/receiver and incorrect operation will result.
