@ Remove the battery cover.
1) Loosen screw.
2) Remove battery cover. ;
(Note) Screw is so constructed as not to be removed for preven-
tion against missing.

5) Remove caution label.
6) Remove the screw.
7) Remove battery protect, and remove the battery. (Backup side)
(Note) There is a screw beneath battery protect. When removing the
keyboard lower cabinet, battery protect must be removed.
15. Diag Specifications
1. Entering Diag mode
Keep pressing ON +'D keys and reset the machine, and the DIAG
menu display shown below will appear.
Pressing 0 cancels DiAG and returns to TEL 1 mode.
Pressing 1 starts the LCD check program.
Pressing 2 starts the PCB check (RAM check) program.
Pressing 3 starts the production process check program.
Pressing 4 starts the static electricity check program.
Pressing 5 starts the intermittent aging program.
Pressing 6 starts the low battery check program.
Pressing 7 starts the safety standard system communication pro-
gram. Pressing 9 turns OFF normally.

Note: When entering the diag mode, user’s data will be destroyed.
Be sure to back up the necessary data before entering the
diag mode.

2. Diag contents
(1) When LCD is selected:
I, A frame is displayed in one dot width around the outer
peripheral of the LCD. (Pressing the Enter key goes to the next
screen.)
II. Zigzag pattern 1 is displayed. (Pressing the Enter key goes to
the next screen.) :
Ill. Zigzag pattern 2 is displayed. (Pressing the Enter key goes to
the next screen.)
The vertical line pattern is displayed. (Pressing the Enter key
goes to the next screen.) :
3) Remove caution label.
4) Remove the battery. (MAIN side)
