Low power output in your Shindaiwa Trimmer can stem from several causes. Ensure you're not overworking the unit by shortening the trimmer line and cutting at a slower rate. Verify the fuel mixture is correct, using fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with a pump octane of 87 or higher mixed with a 2-cycle air cooled mixing oil at a 50:1 ratio. Check for water in the fuel and replace the fuel filter if needed. Clean a clogged air cleaner element. Tighten or replace a loose or damaged spark plug. Repair or replace a clogged fuel line. Also, make sure the fan, fan cover, and cylinder fins are clean.
