Writing an IO-Link device index
A specific index of a connected IO-Link device can be written using the Write_ISDU 76
service (0x4C). The corresponding IO-Link port is addressed via the corresponding CIP
instance number. Attributes do not have to be addressed. The service data contains the
index and subindex of the corresponding IO-Link device parameter.
The structure of a write ISDU request:
Table 23: Structure of a write ISDU request:
Name Value Type Description
CIP Service 76 (0x4C) - ISDU write service
CIP Class 131 (0x83) - IO-Link Device Parameter Object
CIP Instance 1…8 -
Addressing the corresponding IO-Link port to which
the IO-Link device is connected
CIP Data Index UINT IO-Link ISDU object index
Subindex USINT IO-Link ISDU object subindex
Data BYTE ARRAY Data to be written to the corresponding IO-Link
device. Maximum number of bytes: 0-232
