8.1.1.2 Setting up network connection
IP address of the SIG350
The SIG350 is shipped from the factory without a preset IP address. The default setting
for IP address assignment is made via the BOOTP protocol.
Assigning the IP address via BOOTP or DHCP
If your controller has a BOOTP or DHCP server, you can assign an IP address to the
SIG350 using this server.
1. Start the BOOTP/DHCP server (usually via the start menu of your PC/notebook
under Rockwell Software, BOOTP-DHCP server).
The SIG350 with the corresponding MAC address is displayed as a node in the
program window of the BOOTP/DHCP server.
