2.1. Symbols
Some symbols are used in this manual to draw the reader’s attention and highlight some particularly
important aspects of the text.
The symbols used in the manual and their meanings are given in the table below.
EXPLANATION, ADVICE, NOTES
• It indicates a danger with risk of an accident, which
may be even mortal
• Non-compliance of the instructions marked with this
symbol may seriously jeopardize the operator’s and the
exposed persons’ health!
• Strictly observe what indicated
• It draws the attention on the possible deterioration of
the machine or other operator’s personal objects.
• Important warning which requires maximum
caution.
• It indicates a warning or note about key functions or
useful information.
Visual observation
Action to be
performed
• The reader must make a visual observation
• The reader must proceed with the operating sequence
• He is requested to read a measured value, check a
warning signal, etc.
