4.1.1 Installing the C7 Input/Output Module
This sticker should be used to transfer the output states from the type plate of the
basic device to the C7 input/output module, since these are no longer visible when
the module is installed. The sticker should be applied under the module type plate.
The C7 input/output module is already prepared for installation in a C7 control
system. To install the module, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Disconnect the C7 control system from the power supply.
2. Remove
the
securing screw on the battery compartment cover of the C7 control
system and then remove the cover.
3. Mount the C7 input/output module on the C7 control system from the rear.
4.
Secure
the C7 input/output module with four securing screws in the nuts on the
C7 control system (see Figure 1-11).
5. Plug in the ribbon cable connector of the C7 input/output module on to the
connector of the C7 control system ( the connector is located in the battery
compartment).
6. Refit the cover of the battery compartment of the control system and tighten it
with the screw.
7. Put
the
corresponding cable cover on the C7 input/output module, and attach it
with 2 screws. The cable cover must end at the basic device’s battery compart-
ment cover.
Important:
The smaller cable cover of the C7 input/output module is only suitable
for installation on the C7-63x DP.
Since the connector arrangement of the C7-62x is different to that of the C7-63x, a
set of stickers is provided to facilitate installation.
