Connecting Gigaset SE681 WiMAX to the PC
ì Connect one Ethernet cable plug to the Ethernet port on the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX.
ì Connect the other plug of the Ethernet cable to the LAN interface on the PC.
Optional: connecting several terminals
If you wish to connect several terminals (for example a PC and a laptop) and establish
an Internet connection with all the devices, connect a switch or hub to your Gigaset
SE681 WiMAX.
Switching on the devices
ì Connect the mains adapter plug to the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX socket.
ì Power up the PC.
ì Connect the mains adapter to the mains power supply.
The system starts up and performs a self-test. After the self-test, the Gigaset SE681
WiMAX continually attempts to register with a WiMAX network. Registration may be
successful immediately. If not, registration will take place when the Gigaset SE681
WiMAX is being configured.

A DHCP server is integrated into your Gigaset SE681 WiMAX. Please
ensure that a second DHCP server is not activated on your server. For
details on this, read the operating instructions for your switch/hub.
! Only use the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX with the mains adapter supplied.
