Setting up area codes
Before you can return a call from the Calls list (¢ page 33), you must store the local
area code of the area in which your phone is being used. If your phone is in a mul-
tiple area code area, you must also store the extra codes for that area.

~ Enter the local area code.
§Save§ Press the Display key.
a Press and hold (idle status).
Extra Codes

~ Enter the extra code.
§Save§ Press the Display key.
a Press and hold (idle status).
Repeat the above steps until all the extra codes have been entered for your area.
A maximum of five (5) extra codes can be stored.
Your phone is now ready for use!
Connecting the USB cable
You can connect a standard USB data cable with
a mini-B connector to the back of your handset
to connect the handset to a PC. To use this func-
tion, the Gigaset QuickSync software must be
installed (
¢ page 63).
¤ Remove the belt clip (if attached)

¤ Remove the battery cover (¢ page 12).
¤ Connect the USB cable to the USB socket 1.
