R-SMA for degree of protection IP30
The variants of the SCALANCE W7x8 RJ45 have antenna sockets of the type R-SMA:
• Variants with an IWLAN interface (W7x8-1) have 3 antenna sockets on the top of the
device.
• Variants with two IWLAN interfaces (W788-2) have 6 antenna sockets, 3 on the top
and 3 on the underside of the device.
NOTICE
R-SMA antenna connector
When securing antennas to the device, only the screw cap (see figure) of the antenna
can be rotated. Rotating the entire antenna could damage the R-SMA connector of the
device.
