1.3 What's new?
More visualization area with display in widescreen format
The Comfort HMI devices all come equipped with a display in widescreen format with screen
diagonals from 11 cm (4.3") to 30 cm (11.8"). This upgrade provides up to 40% more
visualization area compared to displays with 4:3 format. The extended viewing angle makes
it possible to read and safely operate the display from the side.
Cost reduction through energy savings
The Comfort HMI devices all have LED backlighting that can be dimmed up to 100%. The
displays offer high brightness and a good contrast even in the dimmed state. Energy-saving
functions such as screen saver or the support of the PROFIenery protocol will reduce cost
during operation.
Automatic backup through service concept
Automatic backup enables fast replacement of HMI devices with minimum loss of time. The
Comfort HMI devices come equipped with two slots for SD memory cards for this purpose,
one of which can be used for automatic backup.
● Process-relevant data, such as recipes, archives or user administration, are saved on the
data memory card.
● The process visualization and the device settings are saved on the system memory card.
You only need to insert the system memory card to activate automatic backup.
High-quality enclosure and numerous interfaces
All Comfort HMI devices with a display ≥ 7" have a enclosure front made of die-cast
aluminum and an integrated Ethernet switch. The key HMI devices with a tangible pressure
point are especially suited for use in harsh industrial environments. Use the USB ports to
connect external peripheral devices, such as printers or the configuration PC.
