Ferrule Considerations
The primary customer requirement is
a 4" sanitary ferrule welded to a short
standpipe on the top of the tank. The
inner standpipe wall and ends must
be smooth and free of burrs, ridges,
or seams, and
must comply with all
applicable regulations.
The standpipe extension between
the mating ferrule and the tank top
cannot be longer than the blanking
distance as determined by the
Siemens Milltronics transceiver. The
blanking distance is the minimum
possible measurement range listed in
the
Specifications on page 3.
Do not over tighten the mounting.
Hand tightening of the mounting
hardware is sufficient.
