06. Consultation & Scheduling treatments
During consultation, treatment procedures should be clearly explained. Client should know how
the treatment will feel and what results she/he can expect.
The number of treatments required will vary between individuals and the areas being treated.
Several factors including hormonal activity, inherited conditions and other influences may impact
the effectiveness of treatments.
Always consult the Contraindications list
! For all medical procedures refer client to a physician.
! Do not treat moles.
! In case of health problems or medical conditions, or any doubt refer client to a
physician or ask for a written authorization from the client’s physician.
! Before starting treatment always have the client sign a “ Treatment Release
Form”.
Skin Analysis:
It is important to keep a client record card to register the client’s medical background
and medications. (Some medications will promote hair growth.)
Dehydrated Skin
! A dehydrated skin lacks moisture (water) and is less conductive.
Dry Skin:
! A dry skin lacks oil (sebum) and will take longer to heal.
! Dry skin will be more prone to scabbing*.
*Instruct client to use a good day and night cream intended for dry skin.
