j Plug the wattmeter into a suitable outlet.
j Now plug the mains plug of the electrical appliance you
wish to test into the socket

Note: the “Current measurement” function is the stand-
ard setting for the wattmeter. As soon as the isolating
strip between the two round cell batteries is removed,
the wattmeter is automatically in this mode.
