Also, check contacts 4 and 7; if they're improperly connected or reversed by the vehicle manufacturer, remove the transparent plugs on the yellow and red cables and reconnect them crosswise (yellow to red and red to yellow).

If the CD has too many scratches, create a new CD or repair the existing one. Clean the CD with a lint-free cloth if it's dirty. Reduce the volume if the device temperature is too high. If the CD contains incorrect or faulty data, burn your audio data onto a separate data storage medium.
