Disposal of batteries
Used batteries may not be disposed of in domestic
waste.
Batteries can contain poisons which are damag-
ing to the environment. Therefore, dispose of the
batteries/rechargeable batteries in accordance with
statutory regulations. All consumers are statutorily
obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site
in their community/city district or with a collection
company.
The purpose of this requirement is to ensure that
batteries are disposed of in an environmentally
friendly manner.
