Removing
• Push the comb attachment (1) for
the beard trimmer attachment (4) off
upwards.
• For comb attachments (2) / (3), first
release the locking device at the bottom
of the comb attachment and then pull
the comb attachment off the hair trim-
mer attachment (5).
8 Use
8.1 Switching the device on and off
• Press the on/off switch(11) to switch on.
The battery symbol of the LED dis-
play(12) is green during operation.
• Press the on/off switch(11) once more
to switch off.
8.2 Activating / deactivating the
transport safety lock
NOTE:
• When the transport safety lock is acti-
vated, the lock symbol on the LED dis-
play (12) flashes blue 3× when you
press the on/off switch(11).
• The transport safety lock is deactivated
by connecting a power supply unit; it can
also not be activated during charging.
• Press and hold down the on/off switch(11)
for approx. 4seconds to switch the trans-
port safety lock on or off again.
8.3 Cutting hair
NOTE: You use the hair trimmer attachment(5)
with one of the comb attachments(2) / (3).
• The hair must be dry.
• The cutting length may deviate depend-
ing on the cutting angle.
• Place a sheet or hairdressing cape
around throat and neck to prevent pieces
of hair from dropping into the collar.
• Comb through the hair.
• Always start with a long cutting length
and reduce the cutting length as
required as you progress.
• Start by cutting the hair at the nape or
the sides and cut towards the centre of
the head. Then cut the front section of
the hair towards the centre of the head.
• If possible, cut against the direction of
hair growth.
• Move the device through each section
of the hair several times to include all
the hair.
• Repeatedly comb through the hair.
• Use the slide control (10) to
adjust the precision length as
required (level 1: approx. 1.8 mm,
level 2: approx. 1.3 mm, level 3:
approx.0.8mm).
• For cutting lengths over 12 mm, move
the device through the hair several times
from different directions, in order to
achieve a straight cutting line.
Changing the cutting length
When using the comb attachments(2):
• Change the cutting length by means
of the individual comb attachments(2)
with their various cutting lengths.
When using the comb attachment(3):
• Turn the setting wheel anti-clockwise to
shorten the cutting length (see Fig.D).
• Turn the setting wheel clockwise to
increase the cutting length.
Place the device on the head
When using the comb attachments(2):
• Hold the device in such a way that the
comb attachment lies as flat as possi-
ble on the head and move the device
evenly through the hair.
When using the comb attachment(3):
• Hold the device in such a way that the
area above the setting wheel rests on
the head (see Fig.E).
