Preparations
1) Turn the scales over and place them on a soft surface so as not to scratch
the surface.
2) Open the battery compartment 6.
3) Remove the battery insulation strips by pulling them out.
4) Reinsert the battery, if necessary, and close the battery compartment 6.
The scales switch on as soon as the battery touches the contacts inside
the battery compartment 6.
5) Turn the scales over and place them on a flat, non-slip surface.
6) Press and hold the TARE button 3 until the display 2 goes blank.
7) Familiarise yourself with the process for switching on the scales:
– Press down on the glass plate 1 of the scales with your
finger until a message appears on the display 2. In order
to prevent inadvertent activation, a force of at least approx.
250 g must be applied to the glass plate 1.
8) Remove the sticker on the glass plate 1 that describes how to switch the
appliance on.
9) Wipe the scales with a damp cloth and then dry them off afterwards with
a dry cloth.
