♦ Pull the water tank

out of the appliance and remove the stopper which is
located in the lid of the water tank

(see fig. 5).
♦ Then insert the stopper into the outlet aperture for the water tank (see fig. 6).

♦ Replace the water tank

in the appliance.
♦ Set up the appliance such that the end of the hose is positioned over a
drain. The open end of the hose must be positioned lower than the appli-
ance‘s outlet (i.e. the hose must run downwards).
♦ Switch on the appliance as usual and select a programme.
♦ If you wish to drain into the water tank

again, switch off the appliance,
pull off the hose

or unscrew the EU garden hose adapter

with the garden hose.
♦ Screw the closure back onto the outlet

♦ Remove the stopper from the outlet for the water tank and replace it into the
lid of the water tank.
