Troubleshooting
If you cannot connect the speaker to a compatible external Bluetooth
®
playback device, proceed as follows:
Make sure that the Bluetooth
®
function is activated on the external
playback device.
Make sure that no 3.5 mm jack cable
q is connected to the AUX input 6
on the speaker. When a device is connected via a 3.5 mm jack cable q,
the Bluetooth
®
function of the speaker is deactivated.
Ensure that the speaker is switched on.
If you use several external playback devices, ensure that any previously
made connection is disconnected. There may be a previously paired
playback device still within range.
Make sure that the speaker is no more than 10 metres from the external
playback device and that no obstacles or electronic devices are placed
between them.
The following table helps to identify and rectify further possible faults:
Fault Possible cause Remedy
The device will
not switch on.
The internal battery
is empty.
Charge the internal battery (see
section Charging the internal
battery)
No sound.
The speaker is not
switched on.
Press and hold the
button 5
for about 2 seconds to switch the
speaker on.
The volume is set to
minimum.
Set the desired volume with the
/ button 2. If necessary,
also increase the volume on the
external playback device.
The speaker is muted
in AUX mode.
Press the
button 4 to unmute
the speaker.
The external play-
back device is muted
in AUX mode.
Unmute the external playback
device.
No sound.
The 3.5 mm jack
cable
q is not
correctly connected
in AUX mode.
Ensure that the 3.5 mm jack
cableq is correctly connected to
the AUX input
6 on the speaker
and the external playback device.
