WARNING! Danger of burns! The
lid [3] must remain closed when pouring hot
water. Otherwise, hot water or steam could
escape over the rim causing burns.
Placing the product
Keep the power cord [6] as short as possible.
Wrap the excess power cord onto the cord
storage [8] (bottom of the base [9]).
Guide the power cord [6] through the power
cord guide [7].
Place the base [9] on an even, stable surface.
Maintain a safe distance to walls and
cupboards to avoid damages caused by rising
steam.
Turning the product on
Fill the water kettle [] with water through the
lid’s [3] filler flap [2].
Place the water kettle [] onto the base [9].
The product beeps twice to indicate that it is
turned on.
All buttons [] [] [] [] light up. The
digital display[] shows the current water
temperature.
The LED ring [] lights up and then goes off.
The product changes to standby mode.
Standby mode/Shut down
mode
Standby mode: The standby mode remains
activated for 3minutes after any operation.
During this time, the indicator lights are on.
Shut down mode: Without any operation
in 3minutes, the indicator lights go off. The
product changes to shut down mode.
In shut down mode, press any button to
reactivate the product. The product changes to
standby mode.
Boiling water
(without temperature setting)
Turn on the product (see “Turning the product
on”).
Press
[] to start boiling water to 100 °C.
The LED ring [] lights up and changes its
colour with the water temperature.

A long beep sounds once the water reaches
100 °C. The product changes to standby
mode.
