Questions and Answers

Why does my Simoniz Pressure Washer detergent not work?
    • L
      Laura OwensAug 14, 2025
Several factors could prevent the detergent from working correctly. The detergent container might be empty, so you should add more detergent. The detergent bottle or suction tube may not be properly connected; ensure these connections are secure. The detergent might be too thick and require dilution. A clogged filter on the detergent suction tube can also be the cause; try running warm water through it to remove any build-up. The detergent suction tube could be damaged or clogged, requiring you to remove the obstruction or replace the tube. Also, ensure the nozzle is in the low-pressure position. Finally, the discharge nozzle could be obstructed; in this case, blow out or remove debris with a fine needle.

What to do if my Simoniz 039-8561-6 Pressure Washer motor will not start?
    • C
      carrie26Aug 18, 2025
If the motor won't start, first ensure the On/Off switch is in the “ON” ( | ) position and the power cord is properly plugged in. Check the extension cord; if it’s too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged, replace it with a 25’ (7.6 m) or a 50’ (15 m) 14 AWG cord. Try a different electrical outlet to rule out inadequate power supply. Also, make sure that the pressure washer circuit breaker is not tripped. If it is, allow it to cool, and then restart the unit.

Why does the Simoniz Pressure Washer output pressure vary high and low?
    • S
      Shane MasseyAug 21, 2025
Inconsistent output pressure can result from several issues. The discharge nozzle might be obstructed; clear it by blowing it out or removing debris with a fine needle. The gun, hose, or power nozzle might be calcified; run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank to address this. Insufficient inlet water supply could be the cause; ensure the water is fully on and check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. The pump might be sucking air; check that hoses and fittings are airtight and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. Lastly, the water inlet filter might be clogged; remove the filter and rinse it with warm water.

Why is my Simoniz 039-8561-6 Pressure Washer pump noisy?
    • D
      Danny BrownAug 26, 2025
A noisy pump may be due to the pump sucking air. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight, then turn off the machine and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. Alternatively, the water filter might be clogged. Remove the water filter and rinse it in warm water.

What to do if Simoniz 039-8561-6 Pressure Washer unit does not reach high pressure?
    • R
      Rachel HicksAug 28, 2025
If the unit isn't reaching high pressure, it might be due to several reasons. The diameter of the garden hose could be too small; replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose. The water supply might be restricted; check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages. Make sure there's enough water supply by fully opening the water source. A clogged water inlet filter can also cause this issue; remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. Ensure the power nozzle is in the high-pressure position. Finally, the pump might be sucking air; check that hoses and fittings are airtight, and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle.

What to do if my Simoniz 039-8561-6 motor buzzes but fails to run?
    • R
      Randall OdomAug 31, 2025
If the motor buzzes but doesn't run, the supply voltage might be below the minimum requirement. Verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit. The system could have residual pressure; turn the unit “OFF”, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release pressure, then turn the unit “ON.” Voltage loss due to an extension cord could also be the problem; unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet. Also, disconnect the water supply and power ON for 2 to 3 seconds, repeat a couple of times or until the motor starts to solve residual friction among components.

Why is there a leak at the garden hose connection on my Simoniz 039-8561-6 Pressure Washer?
    • J
      James MarshSep 3, 2025
A leak at the garden hose connection could be due to loose fittings; try tightening them. Alternatively, there might be a missing or worn rubber washer; insert a new washer to resolve the issue.

What to do if there's no water coming from my Simoniz 039-8561-6 Pressure Washer?
    • G
      Gabrielle ThompsonSep 7, 2025
If there's no water, first check if the quick connect assembly is attached in reverse. Verify that the inlet adapter is attached to the machine’s water inlet and the quick connect coupler is attached to the garden hose. Ensure the water supply is turned ON. Also, check for any kinks in the garden hose and remove them.
