How to start a Simoniz Pressure Washer if it doesn't start?
    • K
      Kevin ShawAug 16, 2025
If your Simoniz Pressure Washer engine won’t start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the engine power switch is in the ON (I) position. Next, check the fuel level and fill the tank with regular gasoline if it's empty. For models other than SKU#199-1010-8, check the oil level and add oil if it's low. Excess water pressure can also prevent starting, so release pressure by squeezing the trigger on the gun. Finally, adjust the choke lever: for cold starts, set it to CLOSE or OFF; for warm starts, set it to OPEN or ON, or try the middle position.

Why is there no or low pressure in my Simoniz 039-8568-0?
    • A
      Aaron StantonAug 18, 2025
If your Simoniz Pressure Washer has low or no pressure, start by attaching the required nozzle tip. Ensure the water supply faucet is fully open and there are no kinks or blockages in the hose. The water supply should have a minimum pressure of 30 psi and 4 GPM. Clean the inlet water filter if it's clogged. If there is air in the pump, squeeze the trigger to release it while the machine is running. For models other than SKU#199-1010-8, set the RPM (Throttle lever) to the FAST position.

Why Simoniz Pressure Washer is not picking up detergent?
    • C
      Charles AyersAug 25, 2025
If your Simoniz Pressure Washer is not taking in detergent, first ensure the detergent siphon tube is properly connected. If the tube is damaged, replace it. Make sure you are using the black nozzle when applying detergent. Check the detergent adjustment knob to ensure it is in the correct position. Clean the nozzle if it's clogged. Also, detach the detergent siphon tube and clean the fitting with a tip cleaner. Finally, only use detergents approved for use with pressure washers, as thick detergents can clog the filter.
