6.7.1.2 Field wiring
For successful wiring, complete the folowing steps:
1. Terminate all wiring at TB1 on the city card.
2. All wiring are supervised for open and GND only. Wiring is not power limited.
3. Check that the conductors test free of all grounds before you connect the city card to the system.
4. If the wiring is routed externally, it requires overvoltage protection at the entrance or the exit of the building. Install the
2081-9044 module inside a UL listed electrical box whereever the wire enters or exits the building.
5. The wiring for reverse polarity is between 20 AWG minimum and 12 AWG maximum.
6. The wiring for local energy is between 18 AWG minimum and 12 AWG maximum.
7. Leave the 2.2K, 1/2 W resistor on an unused terminal.
