moves
more
or
less

1/6"
adjustment

nut

loosen
it
slightly.

increase

amount

decrease

clockwise.
Adjust
the
nuts
at
{C)
and
ob¬
serve
the
travel
of
pulleys
(A)
as
the
power
take
off
lever
is
engaged
and
disengaged.
When
adjustment
has
been
made
so
the
pulley
(A)
travels
1/3"
tighten
the
rearmost
nut
at
(C)
against
the
forward
nut
to
lock
them
in
place.

Recheck
your
adjustment.

If
the
engine
starter
will
not
actuate
when
the
power
take
off
lever
is
disengaged
and
the
hydrostatic
control
lever
is
in
neutral,
or
will
actuate
when
the
power
take
off
Lever
is
in
the
engaged
position,
the
power
take
off
neutral
safety
start'
mg
switch
may
need
adjusting.
It
is
located
under
the
trac¬
tor
frame,
but
since
the
tractor
frame
is
open
on
the
bottom,
it
can
be
easily
reached
from
under
the
tractor.
If
adjust¬
ment
is
required
proceed
as
follows:
1.
Place
the
power
take
off
control
lever
in
the
disengaged
position.

Locate
the
safety
switch
(A)
which
is
lo¬
cated
under
the
tractor
flame.
3.
See
figure
16.
The
safety
switch
can
be
moved
up
or
down
by
turning
the
two
nuts
{A)
clockwise
or
counterclockwise
or
forward
or
back
by
diding
it
in
the
dot
in
mounting
bracket
(B)<
4.
Adjust
the
safety
switch
so
it
is
centered
on
the
cam
sur¬
face
(C)
and
the
end
of
the
switch
moves
about
1/8"
when
the
power
take
off
control
lever
is
moved
from
the
disen¬
gaged
to
the
engaged
position.
5.
Tighten
the
two
nuts
fA)
against
the
mounting
bracket

6.
Check
the
adjustment
by
starting
the
tractor.
The
startEr
should
actuate
when
the
power
take
off
control
Lever
is
in
the
disengaged
position
but
should
not
actuate
when
the
power
take
off
control
lever
is
in
the
engaged
position.
