    • D
      Donald ColemanSep 4, 2025
If your Simplicity Lawn Mower is vibrating excessively, check if the blade mounting screws are loose and tighten them to 45-55 ft.lbs. (61-75 N.m.). Inspect the mower blades, arbors, or pulleys for any bending and replace if necessary. Also, make sure the mower blades are balanced, replacing them if they are not. Finally, ensure the belt is installed correctly.

Why is my Simplicity RT Lawn Mower consuming excessive oil?
    • A
      Allison Shaffer PhDSep 7, 2025
If your Simplicity Lawn Mower is consuming oil excessively, it could be due to several reasons. The engine might be running too hot, so clean the engine fins, blower screen, air cleaner, and radiator screen. You might be using the wrong weight oil (refer to the engine manual), or there might be too much oil in the crankcase, so drain the excess oil.

What to do if Simplicity RT engine runs, but tractor will not drive?
    • P
      Paul CarterSep 5, 2025
If your Simplicity Lawn Mower engine runs but the tractor won't drive, ensure the ground speed control pedals are depressed and that the transmission release lever is in the drive position, not the “push” position. Also, check if the parking brake is engaged and disengage it. For a broken drive belt, see Drive Belt Replacement. If the drive belt slips, see cause and remedy below.

Why won't my Simplicity Lawn Mower engine turn over?
    • K
      Kyle DonovanAug 20, 2025
If your Simplicity Lawn Mower's engine won't turn over, make sure you are sitting in the seat and that the brake pedal is fully depressed. Ensure the PTO (electric clutch) switch is in the OFF position and that the cruise control is disengaged (lever in Neutral). Check if the circuit breaker has tripped, waiting a minute for an automatic reset, or replacing it if necessary. If these steps don't work, the battery terminals may need cleaning (refer to the Battery Maintenance Section), or the battery might be discharged or dead, requiring a recharge or replacement. For faulty solenoids, starter motors, or safety interlock switches, consult your dealer.
