Why won't my Simpson Pressure Washer engine start?
    • J
      James HaynesJul 29, 2025
Your Simpson Pressure Washer might not start due to several reasons. There might be no fuel: add fresh fuel. Pressure might be built up: squeeze the gun trigger to relieve pressure. The choke lever might be in the wrong position: move the choke to the correct position. The spark plug wire might be detached: attach the spark plug wire. The engine switch might be off: place the engine switch in the ON position. If the engine is hot, the choke lever might be in the "Choke" position: move it to the "No Choke" position.

What to do if my Simpson Pressure Washer has no or low pressure on initial use?
    • P
      Peter RivasAug 4, 2025
If your Simpson Pressure Washer has no or low pressure upon initial use, it could be due to a few reasons. Check for leaks at the high-pressure hose fitting and repair them, applying sealant tape if needed. The water filter screen might be clogged; remove and clean it. Air might be trapped in the hose; turn off the engine and water source, disconnect the water source, remove air from the hose, reconnect, and squeeze the trigger to remove remaining air. Ensure the choke is not in the “Choke” position; move it to the “No Choke” position. Finally, the high-pressure hose might be too long; use a hose under 100 feet (30 m).

What to do if my Simpson Pressure Washer won't draw chemicals?
    • L
      Lisa MurrayAug 10, 2025
If your Simpson Pressure Washer isn't drawing chemicals, several factors could be the cause. The chemical filter might be clogged, so clean it. Ensure the chemical screen is fully submerged in the cleaning solution. The chemical might be too thick; dilute it to the consistency of water. Avoid using an excessively long pressure hose; lengthen the water supply hose instead.

What to do if water is leaking at the gun/spray wand connection of my Simpson Pressure Washer?
    • J
      Jeremy GutierrezAug 15, 2025
If water is leaking at the gun/spray wand connection of your Simpson Pressure Washer, check for a worn or torn o-ring and replace it if necessary. Also, ensure the hose connection is tight; if it's loose, tighten it.

Why is my Simpson ALH3425 Pressure Washer leaking oil at the pump?
    • D
      Daniel PerezAug 22, 2025
If you notice oil leaking at the pump of your Simpson Pressure Washer, it could be due to several reasons: the drain plug might be loose (tighten it), the drain plug o-ring might be worn (check and replace it), the fill plug o-ring might be worn (check and replace it), the pump might be overfilled (check for the correct amount), the incorrect oil might be used (drain and fill with the correct type and amount), the vent plug might be clogged (clean the vent plug), or the air filter might be filled with oil (clean and/or replace the filter element).
