Why does my Simpson Brute Pressure Washer pump run but have no spray pressure?
    • P
      pamwileyAug 27, 2025
If your Simpson Pressure Washer pump runs but there's no spray pressure, consider these possible causes: * The water supply might be off; turn it on. * The nozzle could be plugged; clean or replace it with the proper size. * The inlet chemical injection valve might be open without the pickup tube in detergent; close the soap valve or submerge the detergent pickup tube in the solution (upstream injection systems only). * The coil on hot water machines could be obstructed; clean any obstructions or scale deposits with a coil cleaner. * The pump might be dry and needs priming; crack open the fitting on the high-pressure outlet until water flows out.

How to fix a Simpson Brute engine that cranks but won't start?
    • J
      Jennifer WrightAug 26, 2025
If your Simpson Pressure Washer engine cranks but won't start, the issue could be due to several reasons: * The engine power switch might be off or defective, so check it. * The low oil shut down may be activated; add oil to the engine and check the oil level more frequently. * The unit may be low on fuel; fill it with the correct fuel and bleed the injector pump if it's a diesel engine. * The fuel filter could be clogged; replace or clean it, and bleed the injector pump if it's a diesel engine. * The engine might be flooded or starved; use the choke only as needed (not applicable to diesel engines). * The fuel could be old or dirty; drain and replace it with fresh fuel.

Why won't my Simpson Brute Pressure Washer engine start or crank over?
    • C
      Christine McconnellAug 22, 2025
If your Simpson Pressure Washer's engine won't start or crank over, possible causes include a dead battery (charge or replace it, adding electrolyte if new), dirty battery contacts (clean them), disconnected battery cables (connect or replace), a seized engine, pump, or gearbox (identify, replace, or repair the seized part), a defective key switch, solenoid, or starter (repair or replace), or a seized pump (replace the pump or bearing).
