The SimPure Y7P-W (Y7P Series) is a countertop water purification system designed for indoor use, offering a compact and plumbing-free solution for obtaining purified water. It utilizes a multi-stage filtration process, including Composite Filter (CF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization, to ensure high-quality drinking water.
Function Description:
The SimPure Y7P-W purifies municipal potable/tap water or potable well water that meets government drinking water standards. It operates by drawing water from a 1.3-gallon (5L) feed water reservoir, filtering it through the CF and RO membranes, and then storing the purified water in a 0.4-gallon (1.5L) internal pure water reservoir. A UV light is integrated into the system for microbial control. The system automatically initiates filtration when the pure water reservoir reaches a preset minimum level and stops when it reaches the maximum level. Users can dispense selected amounts of purified water (180ml, 350ml, or 450ml) or continuously dispense by pressing the "Flushing" button. The device features a control and display panel with indicators for various functions, including filter replacement (CF/RO), filtering status, UV operation, "Change Water" alerts, "Pure Water Shortage," flushing, and reset.

Usage Features:
- Plug-and-Play Design: No plumbing is required; simply plug into an electrical outlet and fill the feed water tank with potable water.
- Dispensing Options: Users can select from three preset dispense volumes (180ml, 350ml, 450ml) or use the "Flushing" button for continuous dispensing until the internal reservoir is empty.
- Control and Display Panel: Intuitive indicators provide real-time status updates for filtering, UV operation, filter life, water levels, and system alerts.
- Sleep Mode: The system enters standby mode after 5 minutes of inactivity, dimming the display and turning off other indicators to conserve energy. Any button press exits sleep mode.
- Safety Protection: If the internal purified water tank does not refill after 30 minutes, the system enters protection mode, beeps 10 times, and all indicator lights flash. The system stops filtering but can still dispense purified water. Reset by reconnecting power.
- Flushing Function: Essential for initial setup and after filter replacement, the system features an automatic and manual flushing process to ensure optimal performance and taste. The internal flushing returns water to the feed tank, while the "Flushing" button can be used to empty the pure water reservoir.
- UV Sterilization: The UV light operates continuously while purifying water and for an additional hour after the pure water tank is full. It also runs for the first 3 hours upon startup and for 15 minutes every 20 minutes in standby mode to maintain microbial control.
Maintenance Features:
- Filter Replacement Reminders: The CF/RO indicator lights notify users when filters are nearing exhaustion (steady light for >90% exhausted) or fully exhausted (flashing light with 10 beeps for ≥100% exhausted), prompting replacement. Recommended replacement cycle for CF and RO filters is 6 months, though this may vary based on feed water quality.
- "Change Water" Indicator: Flashes when the feed tank water level is below the minimum, accompanied by 10 beeps. Users must empty all remaining concentrate water from the feed tank and refill with fresh potable water. The indicator turns steady if the feed tank is removed and goes out when it's properly returned. It's crucial to remove and empty the tank, not just add water, to clear this alert.
- Feed Water Tank Cleaning: Recommended monthly to extend filter element service life. This involves checking and cleaning the strainer, diversion sleeve, and two check valves located at the bottom of the tank. Instructions are provided for disassembling and cleaning the stainless steel filter screen components.
- Descaling: Limescale can affect water flow and system performance. Maintenance frequency depends on tap water quality (e.g., every 6 months for TDS <150ppm, every 2 weeks for TDS >450ppm). Descaling involves preparing a citric acid or white vinegar solution, running a flushing cycle, letting the solution sit for 2 hours, and then thoroughly flushing the system with tap water to remove any residual taste or odor.
- System Storage: For periods of non-use (more than a week), it's recommended to drain both the internal pure water tank and the feed water tank, then store the system in a dry, secure place away from direct sunlight. Before reuse, clean the feed water tank and flush the system.
