Check the batteries are installed correctly in the handheld transmitter (3 x AAA) and the receiver (4 x AA)

Check the battery voltage at the X5 terminal.
While 4.4 vdc is the minimum voltage to operate it is recommended to change the batteries at 5 vdc or lower.
