PREPARATION
To plug in the ironing press
- Connect the supply cord to the plug at the rear of the
press.
- Connect the supply cord to the socket outlet and
switch on. For your own safety, check that you have
an earth plug.
14. On/Off switch (according to model)
- After having plugged in the press, depress the main
On/Off switch
.
- The red signal lamp confi rms that the upper plate and
the steam boiler are heating.
15. Temperature control
– Having switched on your press, the temperature
signal lamp will light at the same time.
– The temperature signal lamp goes out when
the temperature corresponding to the selected
position on the thermostat is reached. It lights and
goes out regularly during the ironing operation.
Caution : the signal lamp will not light when the
thermostat is on
, but the steam generator is heating.
16. Selecting the proper temperature
The quality of the pressing depends partly on the
quantity of the steam you use and partly on using a
suitable heat. Labels on articles to be pressed indicate
the correct ironing temperature using the following
International ironing
Symbols :
 Minimum heat
 Medium heat
  Maximum heat
These symbols are marked on the thermostat selector
of the machine.
- Turn the thermostat to the position corresponding to
the fabric to be pressed and to the symbol indicated
on the fabric label.
When the thermostat is opposite the sign
, the
board does not heat.
