Transfer of Data
The ST90 communicates to the SMARTank
®
Data Center using a wireless Cellular technology called
GSM or CDMA. This technology allows the unit to transmit digital data to the SMARTank
®
Data
Center using the existing network of Cellular towers deployed throughout North America and
around the globe. Once the data is at the SMARTank
®
Data Center, it may be viewed over the
Internet using a standard web browser (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer or Chrome), downloaded to
applications such as Microsoft Excel, or it may be used to trigger events such as email or text messge
to a local sales or service representative. To access the data provided by the ST90 unit, a current
monitoring service agreement with SkyBitz is required. For assistance with accessing the SMARTank
website, contact SkyBitz Customer Support at 888-826-5546 or go to
http://www.skybitz.com/tank-monitoring and click on SMARTank Login.
Since the ST90 is a wireless device, care must be taken when installing the unit to minimize
interference from nearby equipment or structures.
