Visual return is a great option when you’re planning to fly in
GPS-denied environments, while GPS is best when performing
longer-distance returns with your Skydio X2.
How does Visual Return work?
When the Return Type is set to Vision, and you initiate a return to the Launch Point, Skydio X2 does not require a GPS signal and
will use its vision navigation system to return to that point.
Visual return will ONLY work with the Launch Point. Flying to a set Home Point or to your controller will require GPS. Reference the
table below to see how Skydio X2 returns based on Return Type.
