Disabling front passenger's front airbag
You can disable the front passenger's
front airbag. This may for example be
necessary in order to fit a rearward!fac!
ing child restraint system* on the front
passenger's seat. A lock is provided for
this purpose on the front passenger's
side of the instrument panel.
! Push the key a short way into the lock
and turn it anti!clockwise (off posi!
tion).
>The front passenger's front airbag is
disabled.
>The indicator light for the front
passenger's airbag comes on.
To switch the front passenger's front air!
bag on, turn the key clockwise (on posi!
tion).
>Note!
If the front passenger's front airbag is
disabled, the indicator light for the
front passenger's airbag on the centre
console will be lit.
