when handling the battery
Always observe the following safety notes
and protective measures when handling
the battery.
Use original smart batteries to assure a
reliable fit and the correct functioning
of electrical systems.

Danger of short circuiting!
! Do not place any metal objects on the
battery!
! Do not disconnect the battery when the
engine is running!
! Do not operate the vehicle without a
battery fitted, otherwise its electri!
cal equipment could be damaged.
! Never open a battery forcibly! Danger
of burns and explosions!

Highly explosive oxyhydrogen
gas can form when batteries are
being charged.
Fire, naked flame and smoking
are forbidden!
Avoid causing sparks!

Battery acid is corrosive. Do
