Roll starting
If the starter is faulty, you can try to
start the car by letting it run down a
steep hill.
Roll starting cars with manual
transmission
! Apply the handbrake.
! Switch on the ignition.
! Depress the clutch pedal.
! Engage second gear.
! Push the accelerator pedal to the floor.
! Release the handbrake.
! Carefully release the clutch.
>As the speed of the car increases, the
engine starts.
! Apply pressure to the accelerator ped!

! Apply the handbrake.
! Apply the footbrake.
! Switch on the ignition.
! Move the gearshift lever to position +
and hold it there.
! Release the footbrake.
! Push the accelerator pedal to the floor.
! Release the handbrake.
