Engine compartment
For BRABUS engine:
! Pull up the cap by the tab.
! Read the coolant level on the dipstick
that is attached to the cap.
>The fluid level must lie between the
markings L (min) and F (max).
If the coolant level has fallen
! top up the coolant.
! Have the reason for the loss of coolant
investigated by a qualified specialist
workshop, e.g. a smart center.
>Note!
Warm coolant expands, which is why it
may extend beyond the maximum filling
level.
Topping up coolant
For diesel engine:
! Switch off the engine and wait for
about 30 minutes to allow the engine to
cool down.
! Cover the cap for the coolant expansion
reservoir (A) with a cloth before
touching it.
! Turn the cap one complete revolution
in order to allow the excess pressure to
escape.
! Unscrew the cap and remove it.
! Only fill the coolant to a filling level
between the markings for MIN and MAX.
! Replace the cap and tighten when fin!
ished.
For petrol and BRABUS engines:
! Pull up the cap by the tab.
! Only fill the coolant to a filling level
between the markings for MIN and MAX.
! Firmly press the cap back on.
