  If your Smiths Test Equipment experiences a power supply failure, ensure the correct input voltage is connected to the rear panel AC or DC input. Check that the rear panel fuse is not open. If the power supply remains inoperative, disconnect the AC power cord and loosen the four front panel screws securing the power supply to the chassis. Verify that the 'FAULT' indicator of the power supply is off and all the green power supply indicators are illuminated.

  If you're experiencing a GPS Reference Failure with your Smiths Test Equipment, check the following: Perform a continuity test of the antenna cable to verify it's not open or shorted. Ensure the antenna is mounted vertically and free from obstructions that block its view of the sky. Confirm that antenna cable connectors are secure and, if a lightning arrestor is present, it's correctly installed. Verify the antenna cable length is within the specified limits as described in Appendix E, Table 2. If your Model 9100 has redundant GPS REF modules, try swapping antenna inputs A and B to see if the failure clears; if it does, replace the antenna.
