Always
stop
the
blade,
shift
into
neutral
and
set
the
parking
brake
when
it
becomes
necessary
to
leave
your
rider
momentarily
while
the
engine
is
running!
RECYCLING
MOWERS
WARNING:
Your
new
recycling
rear
engine
rider
is
factory
equ^sped
with
a
recycling
deck
cover
and
is
fully
operational
at
the
time
of
purchase.
DO
NOT
operate
the
nK}wer
unless
the
deck
cover,
the
side
discharge
chute
(included
with
the
rider),
or
a
grass
catcher
is
p/ppgf/y
installed.
To
install
the
side
discharge
chute:
Remove
the
recycling
deck
cover
and
save
the
5/16"
carriage
bolts,
flat
washers,
and
wing
nuts.
Align
the
discharge
chute
half
of
the
hinge
with
the
half
of
hinge
attached
to
the
deck.
Insert
the
hinge
pin-
to
half
the
hinge
length.
Then
position
and
hold
the
hinge
spring
in
place
(one
leg
against
deck
and
the
other
leg
against
the
chute)
while
sliding
the
pin
through
the
spring
and
remaining
portion
of
hinge-secure
the
pin
with
a
1/4"
flat
washer
and
3/32"
X
3/4"
cotter
pin
-
berKi
legs
over.
When
property
instaHed,
the
spring
restricts
the
hinging
action
of
the
chute.
Reinstall
the
previously
removed
5/16"
fasteners
and
save
thoM
not
used,
for
future
reinstallation
of
the
recycling
deck
cover.
The
side
discharge
chute
DOES
NOT
have
to
be
removed
when
the
recycling
cover
or
a
grass
catcher
is
going
to
be
used
again.

To
set
the
parking
brake,
depress
the
CLUTCH/
BRAKE
pedal
(5-C)
down
and
then
move
(lift)
the
PARKING
BRAKE
lever
(13-C)
forward
and
then
release
foot
pressure
until
the
PARKING
BRAKE
.
lever
locks
into
place.
To
release
the
parking
brake,

tap
the
CLUTCH/BRAKE
pedal
with
your
foot.
