      To address belts squealing in neutral and/or reverse on your Snapper Tiller, adjust the forward belt guide: 1. Turn the engine off and allow the muffler to cool. 2. Disconnect the spark plug wire and secure it away from the spark plug. 3. Remove the belt guard. 4. Pull down on the drive safety control levers. 5. Manually bend the forward belt guide to achieve a clearance of 1/16 inch or less between the belt guide and the belt. 6. Replace the belt guard and spark plug wire.

      To fix squealing belts during forward operation of your Snapper Tiller, adjust the tabs on the reverse belt guide: 1. Turn the engine off and allow the muffler to cool. 2. Disconnect the spark plug wire and secure it away from the spark plug. 3. Release the drive safety control levers to neutral. 4. Remove the belt guard. 5. Adjust the tabs of the reverse belt guide: While the drive safety control levers are released, bend the metal tabs on the reverse belt guide to a clearance of 1/64 inch or less from the reverse belt. 6. Replace the belt guard and spark plug wire.
