REPLACEMENT
Engine
power
is
transmitted
by
the
aluminum
drive
disc
which
is
attached
to
the
engine
crankshaft
to
the
rubber
driven
disc
which
in
turn
transmits
the
power
to
the
primary
chain
case
and
to
the
transmis¬
sion
assembly.
Replace
the
disc
if
worn,
grooved
or
warped
as
follows.
STEP
1:
Remove
the
engine
from
the
tractor
frame
(Figure
4.31).
Note
the
engine
mount
shims
used
on
5HP
models,
(figure
4.32)
STEP
2:
Use
an
alien
head
wrench
to
remove
the
drive
disc
mounting
bolt
(figure
4.33)
and
lockwasher
(figure
4.34).
Different
size
bolts
are
used
and
an
in¬
ternal
tooth
lockwasher
is
used
on
5
HP
models
while
the
8
HP
uses
the
split
lockwashers
as
shown.
