Q How do I answer a call?
A Just pick up the receiver when your phone is ringing or,
if you are using a headset press or the blinking Line Key,
alternatively, press to activate the speakerphone.
Q How do I make a call?
A Simply lift the receiver, dial the desired number and press .
Alternatively, you can enter the desired number via the keypad first and then
press with the receiver lifted. Please note that the full area dial code is
required for all numbers dialled, even local numbers within your area code.
Note: you do not need to dial ‘9’ before your number.
Q How do I use the speaker-phone?
A Press the button. You can do this in place of lifting the receiver to initiate
or answer a call, or you can press the speaker button at any time during a call
to switch from receiver to loud-speaker mode. When the speaker-phone has
been activated you may replace the receiver and remain in call. Pressing the
speaker button with the receiver replaced or pressing X will end the call.
Q How do I use a headset?
A Connect your headset to the dedicated headset port on the underside of the
phone.
Press the button to turn the headset on or off. With the headset button
lit, enter the desired number via the keypad first and then press to initiate
a call.
Again, with the headset button lit, simply press to pick up and answer a
call through your headset.
Press X to end a call.
Q How do I check for Voicemail messages?
A You can access your Voicemail box by pressing or by dialing 1571 from
your handset. Enter your password when prompted to do so, followed by #
(default 1234). Verbal instructions accompany each selection to help you
manage your Voicemail. The button will light when you have unread
messages. This is also accompanied by a stuttered dial-tone.
Q How do I mute the-phone?
A To disconnect the microphone on your handset temporarily whilst you are in a
call, if you want an aside with someone at your end for example, press .
To re-activate the microphone press this button once again.
