Product Description and Areas of Application

The SPX2000-H is intended for residential use only. It should never be used in potentially explosive areas. The operating temperature must be between 32°F (0°C) and 104°F (40°C). The machine consists of a pump assembly encased in a shock-absorbing housing, with a spray wand and a non-slip handle grip for optimal working position. The spray wand or nozzle should not be covered or modified. The pressure washer is designed for use with cold or lukewarm water; higher temperatures can damage the pump. Dirty, gritty water or water containing chemical products should not be used, as these impurities can impair operation and shorten the machine's life.

Assembly

The assembly process involves several steps:

  1. Handle installation: Slide the handle into position following the alignment grooves at the top of the machine body, ensuring the solid side faces the front. Secure it with two Phillips head screws (ST4.8*16).
  2. Nozzle base installation: Install the nozzle base into the alignment grooves and secure it with two Phillips head screws (ST3.5*13).
  3. Trigger gun holder installation: Slide the trigger gun holder into position.
  4. Cord holder installation: Slide the cord holder into position.
  5. Spray gun assembly: Fit the spray wand assembly into the gun and turn the rotatable end-piece until the two parts are completely locked. Then, fit the two pieces of the spray wand assembly together and rotate until locked.
  6. Nozzle connection: Pull back the brass Quick-Connect collar, insert the desired nozzle, and release the collar until the nozzle clicks into place.
  7. High-pressure hose connection: Connect the Quick-Connect end of the high-pressure hose to the trigger gun until it snaps into place. Connect the other end of the high-pressure hose to the water outlet on the pressure washer by pushing it completely on and screwing it clockwise.
  8. Garden hose connection: Connect the garden hose adapter (female coupler) to the water inlet. Then, connect your garden hose (male end) to the garden hose adapter. The garden hose must have an internal diameter of at least 1/2 inch and be reinforced. The water supply must be at least equal to the washer delivery capacity. The machine is not suitable for connection to potable water mains.
  9. Water supply connection: Attach the garden hose to the water supply.

Operation

The pressure washer is equipped with a micro-switch sensitive to water flow (Total Stop System - TSS). TSS senses water flow in the pump, stopping the motor when the trigger is released, and restarting it when the trigger is pressed. This saves energy and prolongs pump life.

  1. Electrical supply voltage: Check that the electrical supply voltage and frequency correspond to the pressure washer's rating plate. If correct, plug the pressure washer into the power outlet.
  2. Water supply: Position the washer as close as possible to the water supply.
  3. Stable surface: The washer must be used on a secure and stable surface in an upright position.
  4. Water supply tap: Turn the water supply tap on completely.
  5. Unlock safety lock: Unlock the safety lock, then press the trigger for a few seconds until water flow is steady. This allows air to escape and discharges residual pressure in the hose. Release the trigger after all residual pressure is discharged.
  6. Start pressure washer: Keeping the trigger pressed, push the switch to the ON (I) position to start the pressure washer.
  7. Restarting motor: When restarting the motor, always keep the trigger pressed. The motor only runs when the trigger is depressed and shuts off when released.

Using Nozzles

Before cleaning, determine the best nozzle for the job. The nozzles have different spray patterns: 40° for gentle cleaning and 15° for tough jobs. Users should never change nozzles without locking the safety lock on the trigger handle. High-pressure jets are dangerous if misused and should not be directed at persons, pets, live electrical equipment, or the appliance itself.

  • Connecting a nozzle: Turn off the pressure washer and water supply. Pull the trigger to release water pressure. Engage the safety lock on the trigger handle. Pull back the brass Quick-Connect collar and insert the desired nozzle, then release the collar until it clicks into place.
  • Disconnecting a nozzle: Turn off the pressure washer and water supply. Pull the trigger to release water pressure. Engage the safety lock on the trigger handle. Pull back the brass Quick-Connect collar and remove the nozzle. Do not adjust the nozzle while the trigger is squeezed, as this can cause damage.

For additional cleaning power, a detergent spray bottle attachment (Model SPX1DT) is available as an add-on accessory. Only detergents specifically recommended for pressure washers should be used. Load the bottle with a suitable, non-corrosive detergent, attach it to the spray gun, and twist clockwise to lock it into place.

  1. Apply detergent: Apply detergent from the bottom to the top of the dry surface to be cleaned to dissolve dirt effectively. Wetting the surface first is not recommended as it dilutes the detergent.
  2. Dwell time: Allow the detergent to remain on the surface for a short time before rinsing with the pressure washer. Do not allow the detergent to dry on the surface.

Shutting Down

  1. Turn the switch to the OFF (0) position and unplug the power cord.
  2. Turn off the water source.
  3. Hold the trigger to release water pressure.
  4. Disconnect the garden hose from the water inlet.
  5. Disconnect the high-pressure hose connection on the trigger gun handle.
  6. Release the trigger and engage the gun safety lock.

Taking a Break

If taking a break of five minutes or more:

  1. Engage the gun safety lock.
  2. Push the switch to the OFF (0) position.
  3. Unplug the power cord.

Storage

Always store the pressure washer in a location where the temperature will not fall below 32°F (0°C) to prevent permanent pump damage from freezing. Freeze damage is not covered by the warranty.

  • Store the pressure washer indoors in a dry, covered area, not subject to adverse weather conditions.
  • Store the product in a frost-free area.
  • Always empty water from all hoses, the pump, and the detergent bottle (if used) before storing.
  • A pump protector is recommended to prevent cold weather damage during winter storage.

Winterizing + Long-Term Storage

If storing the pressure washer in freezing temperatures:

  • Disconnect all water connections.
  • Turn on the machine for a few seconds until remaining water exits the pump, then turn off immediately.
  • Do not allow the high-pressure hose to become kinked.
  • Store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures.
  • Do not store near a furnace or other heat sources that may dry out the pump seals.
  • Operate the pressure washer with non-corrosive/non-toxic anti-freeze, a pump saver, or a pump protector before storing for the winter.
  • Before reusing, completely flush the unit with clear water, as anti-freeze products can damage paintwork.

Maintenance

Before working on the pressure washer, switch off the unit and disconnect the plug from the power supply socket.

  1. Check and clean the filter: To ensure good performance, check and clean the filter regularly. Remove the filter and rinse with warm water to prevent foreign matter from clogging the pump.
  2. Clean the nozzle: Use the provided needle clean-out tool. Remove the nozzle from the spray wand, remove any dirt from the nozzle hole, and rinse.

Disposal

  • Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities.
  • Contact your local government agency for information regarding available collection systems.
  • If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into groundwater and the food chain, damaging health and well-being.
