than20seconds(possiblyintherangeof90seconds).
TheTestlightbeginsblinkingwhentheappliancehas
rebootedintoSafeMode.
3Pointyourbrowsertohttp://192.168.1.254toaccess
theSafeModemanagementinterface.
4 ClickUploadNewFirmware,andthenbrowsetothe
locationwhereyousavedtheSonicOSfirmwareimage,
selectthefileandclickUpload.
5 ClicktheBooticonintherowforoneofthefollowing:
•UploadedFirmware‐New!
Usethis
optiontorestarttheappliancewith
yourcurrentconfigurationsettings.
•UploadedFirmwarewithFactoryDefault
Settings‐New!
Usethisoptiontorestarttheappliancewith
factorydefaultconfigurationsettings.
6Intheconfirmationdialogbox,clickOKtoproceed.
7Aftersuccessfullybootingthefirmware,the login
screendisplays.
Afterafactorydefault,you
willseetheinitiallogin
screen,whichdisplaysoptionstolaunchtheSetup
WizardortologintoSonicOSandconfigurethe
appliancemanually.Ifyouchoose thelatter,enterthe
defaultusernameandpassword(admin/password)to
accesstheSonicOSmanagementinterface.
8Youcancontinuetomanage
theappliancefromthe
MGMTinterfaceat192.168.1.254.
IfyouprefertoconnecttoSonicOSthroughthe WANor
LANinterfaceoftheappliance:
aDisconnectyourcomputerfromtheappliance.
bReconfigureyourcomputertoautomatically
obtainanIPaddressandDNSserveraddress,or
resetittoitsnormalstaticvalues.
c Connect
thecomputertoyournetworkortothe
desired interfaceontheappliance.
dPointyourbrowsertothe WANorLANIP
addressoftheappliance.
NOTE:UsehttpratherthanhttpsinSafeMode.
CAUTION:Donotpowerofftheappliancewhileitis
rebooting.
