Using the self-timer
Shooting close-ups (Macro)
You can shoot beautiful close-up images of small subjects such as insects or flowers.
Macro mode is fixed to [Auto] in Sweep Panorama, Movie mode, Anti Motion Blur, Hand-held
Twilight, Smile Shutter or Easy Mode.

Touch (Self-Timer) t
desired mode.
(Off): Not using the self-timer.
(10sec): Shooting starts after a
10-second delay. Use this setting if
you want to include yourself in the
image. To cancel, touch .
(2sec): Shooting starts after a
two-second delay. This is to prevent
blurring due to unsteadiness when the shutter button is pressed.

Press the shutter button.
The self-timer lamp flashes and a beep sounds until the shutter operates.

Touch t (Macro)
t desired mode.
(Auto): The camera adjusts the
focus automatically from distant
subjects to close-up.
(Close Focus On): Use this
mode to shoot at close distances.
Locked to the W side: Approximately
1 to 20 cm (13/32 to 7 7/8 inches)
