To turn off the power
Set the POWER switch to OFF (CHG).
To reset the date and time
Press MENU and select (OTHERS) t
[CLOCK SET], then set the date and time.

• If you do not use the VCR for about 3
months, the built-in rechargeable battery gets
discharged and the date and time settings may
be cleared from the memory. In this case, charge
the built-in rechargeable battery and then set the
date and time again (p. 86).
• It takes a few seconds for the VCR to be ready
to record or playback after the power is turned
on. You cannot operate the VCR during this
time.
Press MENU and select (OTHERS) t
[LANGUAGE], then set the desired
language (p. 64).

1 Slide EJECT lever in the direction
of the arrow.
The cassette compartment automatically
comes out and opens up.
2 Insert a cassette tape with its
window facing up.
Push the center of the back of the
cassette tape lightly.
